Transfer Talk 31-05-07

Liverpool are lining up a £12million bid for Valencia left-winger David Silva. (rafa raiding his former club)

Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce will make a big change in his midfield by selling Scott Parker to West Ham for £8million, replacing him with the £5.5million signing of Joey Barton. (a step backwards to make 2 steps forward?)

Arsenal will make a new £8million move for West Brom skipper Curtis Davies. (replacement for out of favour djorou)

Sir Alex Ferguson wants either Samuel Eto'o or Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to lead the Manchester United attack next season.

Everton will trigger a £4million release clause in Sheffield United skipper Phil Jagielka's contract and sign him by the end of the week.

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has set his sights on Lyon midfielder Alou Diarra and Rennes striker John Utaka. (more african players for Pompey)

Mark Viduka will quit Middlesbrough to join Newcastle.

Arsene Wenger is ready to let Thierry Henry leave Arsenal, with long-term suitors Barcelona set to offer £17million plus Samuel Eto'o to land the Gunners skipper. (good deal to us, Eto o has more years in him than Henry. 17 mill for a age 30 player is a good deal)

Tottenham could scupper West Ham's bid to sign Scott Parker from Newcastle after ending their interest in Hammers skipper Nigel Reo-Coker.
