Arsenal has opted not to make Baptista's loan move a permanent one. "Arsenal have told me they are not able to buy me and so all I can do is return to Real Madrid," he said in Spanish newspaper Marca. His first season in England saw him scoring ten goals in 35 appearances in all competitions.
In Spain, Baptista is known as 'The Beast' for his physical game and was also nicknamed 'Batigol' for his goalscoring form for Sevilla.
He also revealed recently that he struggled with the English weather.
Baptista's return would improve the chances of Wenger's wonderkid Theo Walcott to play more games for the senior team next season.
