Transfer Talk 23-07-2007

Two defenders are rumored with a move to Tottenham. Auxerre defender, Younes Kaboul,21 is set to arrive at White Hart Lane for about 6-8 million pounds. Tottenham is also leading the race to land Gareth Bale from Southampton for about 10 million pounds.

Portsmouth is set to spend big in the summer. It also doesnt help with rumors spread by numerous newspapers. Portsmouth are poised to pull off a double swoop for Sylvain Distin and Sulley Muntari within the next 48 hours. Muntari has price tag of 7 million pounds. They are also interested in Rennes John Utaka(5.7m) and Lyon midfielder Alou Diarra(4.5m). They are also in the running of out-of-contract players; Ben Haim, Distin and Bramble.

Other newspapers have mentioned that Harry is also interested in signing Hreidarson, Viduka and Yakubu.

Arsenal's Van Persie is targeted by Bayern for 8 million pounds. (kinda cheap) Wenger is set to watch Owen paly for England B on friday.
