Tottenham have confirmed that they have acquired the services of promising Welsh left back Gareth Bale from Southampton. He joins White Hart Lane in a deal worth up to 10 million pounds. Gareth Bale has been previous linked with a move to Man Utd and Arsenal.
"I want to play in the Premiership, Tottenham is a club pushing forward and I want to be part of its future," said Bale.
The move is also consistent with Spurs' policy of buying the best young British talent when possible. Jol had six players in the England B squad for the friendly against Albania, while Tom Huddlestone is in the Under-21s squad for the European Championships next month in Holland.
