Champions League Seedings

Seeding Club Coefficient
1 AC Milan 133.808
2 Barcelona 119.374
3 Liverpool 112.618
4 Inter Milan 107.808
5 Arsenal 104.618
6 Real Madrid 104.374
7 Manchester United 99.618
= Chelsea 99.618

What these seedings mean is that they will be separated in the group stages. They will not be able to be drawn into the same group. As u can see, Chelsea finally made it into the top 8. No more Liverpool-Chelsea group. Bayern's failure to qualify is the main reason for them to get into the top 8. Valencia missed out on the top 8 with 99.374. Other top teams missing out on the top 8 are Lyon and Roma. The top 8 will look to avoid been drawn with them.

How is it possible that teams which do not currently hold the national title be allowed to play in the champions league? The fact that these team are seeded is troublesome.
