Man Utd News

Manchester United defender Gaby Heinze is close to signing for Real Madrid.
The Daily Star says Heinze has agreed to move to Real after the Copa America in a deal worth £5 million.

And now for Rio's Corner....

Rio on new signings....
Ferdinand revealed United's players raved about Anderson to boss Fergie after they faced him in a pre-season friendly against Porto last summer.

"He was someone a few of the lads were talking about anyway. I've not seen Nani, the Portuguese kid, play. But a lot of people say he's very similar to Cristiano Ronaldo.

"If he ends up becoming half as good as him, we've got a fantastic player on our hands, so it's exciting. And we all know about Owen Hargreaves. He's a fantastic footballer as well and someone who will add another dimension to our midfield that's already great to play behind."

Rio on the MLS....
Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has ruled out following David Beckham in making a move to America.

"He [Beckham] is going out there taking the whole family and he is going to make a real go of it I'm sure and good luck to him and hopefully he does it,"

"A lot of players have gone out there and tried it but it never really happened. But if anyone can at the moment Becks can I am sure."

When asked if he would ever consider a move to America, "No I wouldn't [go to America]. That is no slight on American soccer just from family [point of view] I would not be able to go that far away from my family. I could not see that happening at all, no chance."
