Gossip: Craig Bellamy (Liverpool) to return (unless Alan Shearer has any say in the matter). The Daily Mirror reckons Obafemi Martins has asked manager Sam Allardyce not to cash in and sell him, though in view of recent events in Nigeria that's probably the least of Obafemi's worries. However, Martins reportedly has a £13million get-out clause in his contract, which was a nasty surprise for new boss Sam Allardyce, says The Evening Chronicle, especially as Michael Owen has a similar get-out clause. But the legendary Shearer says Owen will stay, and presumably he should know. So Allardyce may be spared the nightmare of not knowing if his two top strikers will be at the club for the start of next season.The Mirror also claims that the Magpies want Charlton's England defender Luke Young, while the club are poised to complete a £2m move for Czech defender David Rozehnal from PSG. And Newcastle are also keen on Breda's Netherlands Under-21 striker Maceo Rigters, say The Herald.
