Tug of War for Tuncay

Sanli Tuncay is being targeted by numerous clubs across Europe. The Turkish international is out of contract at Fenerbahce and wants to leave the club. He says, "All players aspire to play in big clubs such as Chelsea or Manchester as well as other big clubs in Spain or Italy. I am of the opinion that it is very tough for a player to be part of the starting line-up in those clubs and I would rather play for a team that I know will give me the chance to start."

Its okay brother, the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd are not interested. The interested clubs in the running are Hertha Berlin, Olympiakos and Villareal. English clubs Birmingham, Man City and Middlesboro has also been mentioned.

His stock rose dramatically in 2004 when he became the first Turkish player to score a hat-trick in the Champions League. Tuncay hit all Fener's goals in a 3-0 victory over Manchester United.

Tuncay has also been impressive on the intenational stage, netting 12 times for Turkey in 38 appearances.
