Tampines Rovers will be looking to narrow the gap of the top of the S.League table when they take on Geylang United on Sunday evening.
The Stags are currently five points behind league leaders Home United, but have two games in hand including Sunday's visit to Bedok.
They will have to do without the services of Noh Alam Shah, who has been out for the past two months, and Mustafic Fahrudin, who was injured on international duty last week.
Thai forward Sutee Suksomkit is also away with his country in their Asian Cup campaign.
“Ridhuan (Muhammad), Peres (De Oliveira) and Santi (Chayaphuak) will take up the role for goals while we are without Mustafic and Noh Alam," said Tampines coach Vorawan Chitavanich.
"We are confident of the win and looking forward to it so as to close the gap (on Home)," added the Thai.
Geylang have netted just one win in their past seven games, and that against bottom side the Korean Super Reds.
With the second least-prolific scoring record in the league, Eagles coach Lim Tong Hai is hoping to sign Singapore international Itimi Dickson on a free transfer, as well as an additional foreign forward to replace the sacked Kim Grant.
“We are looking at one or two new strikers when the window period opens," said Lim.
"We are quite depleted now but still have quality strikers and midfielders at present that can help us get a decent result.
"I am hopeful the current batch will make a concerted effort to get us a result against Tampines,” he added.
On Sunday they will be without defender Abdul Hadi, who is a long-term injury victim after tearing his cruciate ligaments.
